Welcome to The Avon Inn, an independent freehouse full of character and charm, set in the beautiful village of Avonwick, Devon, South Hams. 

Food & Drink

Here at The Avon Inn, we offer a traditional, home-cooked menu with all your pub favourites as well as wood fired pizzas.  Our bar offers a selection of real cask ales, Guiness, ciders and lagers - local and premium brands all at reasonable prices.  We also have a wide range of gins, spirits, top shelf whiskies and lots of soft drinks and 00's too.

Family Friendly

We are a family friendly pub and children are very welcome. We have an outside play area for the little ones to blow off steam, as well as a smaller portions for them to enjoy from the menu. We also have high chairs.  Please note our garden does close for the winter months.

Dogs Welcome

Furry friends are welcome at in The Avon Inn all day from 12pm until 9pm - we have treats on the bar, fresh drinking water and bowls as well as comfy lounge blankets.  Please note* we do ask that dogs are kept on leads at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will always try to accommodate walk-ins but we do recommend booking to eat in the restaurant to avoid disappointment. We do not however reserve tables in the garden, so just turn up (we have plenty of tables).
